Не забудь поменять по смыслу  обстоятельства времени:

вместо today — that day:

Mike said, “I can play today.” — Mike said he could play that day.

yesterday — the day before or the previous day:

Helen said, “I saw Ann yesterday.” — Helen said she had seen Ann the day before.

tomorrow — the next day, the following day:

Bob told me, “I will go to the cinema tomorrow.” Bob told me he would go to the cinema the next day.

last (Monday, week, month, season, year) — the previous…:

The children told us, “We completed our project last month.” The children told us they had completed their project the previous month.
