Сравнение условных предложений первого, второго и третьего типов
Мы пользуемся первым типом условного предложения, если хотим сказать, что какое-то действие произойдет или не произойдет только при каком-то условии. Причем выполнение этого условия – вполне выполнимо, реально.
Мы пользуемся вторым типом условного предложения, если хотим показать, что условие, о котором идет речь – как минимум трудновыполнимо, невероятно, а то и совсем нереально ни в настоящем, ни в будущем времени. Подчас это не больше, чем просто предположения и мечтания, но формально еще все возможно, ведь чудеса все-таки иногда случаются.
Третий тип условного предложения нужен, чтобы показать, что могло бы произойти в прошлом при определенных обстоятельствах, но не произошло. Очевидно, что поскольку вся ситуация в прошлом, изменить ее уже никак нельзя.
Посмотри на эти предложения и сравни их значения:
We will go out for a walk if our friends call us now.
